We turned this enclosed mall into an award-winning pedestrian lifestyle center. RULD has experience designing successful commercial areas of all sizes.

Renta ULD provided site planning, master planning, and zoning services for the revitalization of the Hammond Square Mall with developer Stirling Properties. The original mall was over 30 years before the renovation transformed the enclosed mall into an open-air power and lifestyle center.

The redevelopment doubled the size of the previous mall, standing at 661,783 sq ft of retail space, on a site of nearly 100 acres.

The architectural style for the center pulls from familiar, traditional detailing while acknowledging the practical requirements of retail buildings such as large signage areas and leasing flexibility. Brick and synthetic stucco walls are the primary material and signature elements, like copper lanterns and clay tile roofs, are used to highlight specific areas.

International Council of Shopping Centers named Hammond Mall an ICSC 2010 US Design and Development Finalist.
